News

Dear St. Athanasios Families,

This past year has been a new experience for all of us, but especially for our children. Classes,

Extracurricular activities and everyday moments were met with restrictions and new norms.

In March, just as our children were beginning our “H.O.P.E./J.O.Y. Basketball Camp,” our state went into a shutdown. Thankfully, after many months, following the safety guidelines set in place for our Church, and with the help of Father, Andy and Tonia, we were able to offer our first H.O.P.E./J.O.Y. event for the 2020-2021 year!  Children had the opportunity to decorate their own donuts and paint their pumpkins while also enjoying the activities offered at the “St. Athanasios Youth Harvest Celebration.”

We are hoping to host another H.O.P.E./J.O.Y. event within the next few weeks. Due to a fluid environment this year, we will not be collecting H.O.P.E./J.O.Y. registration. Any funds that are collected for each event are for the supplies and/or food used for the event.

ALL youth in our Community are invited to attend our activities. All activities center around the children learning about their faith, their Church & the world around them.

Again, these activities wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful H.O.P.E./J.O.Y. families, generous contributions, volunteers, Father & our Church community…thank you!
