Dear Greek School Families,

Happy New Year!  We hope you enjoyed the Christmas season with your loved ones and are ready for the start of a beautiful New Year!  We are very excited and look forward to hosting many upcoming events.  We welcome and encourage parental involvement for all of these cultural activities for the enrichment of our children’s education.

We would like to thank everyone again for your support with our Bags & Bellinis Fundraiser.  It was a highly attended event and we are so grateful to have the support from our sponsors, donors, family  and friends!

We would also like to thank those who attended our Christmas program and holiday celebration.  The children sang kalanta, enjoyed a Lenten dinner and had a surprise visit from Agios Vasilis.  It warms our hearts to know that the children shared the magical time of year with their Greek school friends and teachers.

On Sunday, January 28th, 2018, we had the annual celebration of the Three Hierarchs and the Greek Letters. The program was held in church after liturgy services and the children paid tribute to the lives of the Three Great Saints.  The students commemorated the Saints teachings and what they taught us about our Christian Faith and our Hellenic Spirit.

The PTO is proudly hosting the upcoming Apokreatiko Glendi.  We would like to invite everyone in our community to join us on February 10th, 2018 at the Terrace at Biagio’s in Paramus, NJ.  This will be a great time for every member of our church to attend this exciting event, so please bring the kids, grandparents and everyone in between!  The night will be filled with great parea, entertainment and cuisine as we celebrate before Great Lent.  We look forward to a fun-filled evening!

Thank you for your continued support!

Wishing everyone a Blessed, Happy & Healthy New Year!

Sincerely,

Despina F. Shikar, OD & Debbie Poulis
