Dear Greek School Families,
We can hardly believe that the year is almost over.We hope the kids are learning and making wonderful Greek school memories.Our children’s Apokriatiko held in February was a fantastic success! Delicious food and great music was played and fun was had by all.We like to thank all parents who volunteered before, during,and after this event.It was greatly appreciated!This year the weather was finally cooperative and the children were able to fly kites on Kathara Deftera during Greek school.All of the kids brought their kites to school and were able to enjoy this great tradition with their friends and teachers!After, the PTO provided laganes, cucumbers, and tomatoes as a nistisimo snack.
We continue to fundraise for our goal this year to help with the improvement of both the kitchen and bathrooms in our church. Ourchocolate bar sale has proven again to be successful! Thank you to all the parents and kidsthat participated in this sweet fundraiser.Our finalfundraiser of the year will be our Greek comedy night on April 21st in our Church hall.We have booked the Greek comedian,Ellen Karis to entertain! The event will begin at 8:00 p.m. withdelicious mezedakia,drinks, cash bar, 50/50 raffle.Cost is $55 per ticket.If you have any questions or to make reservations,you may contact the church office or e-mail us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. All parents are welcomed to help or donate towards this big event. Please contact any PTO officer. We look forward to seeing you all there for some fun a laughter!
Coming up in May is our annual Greek Festival. As we all know it is a huge event for our church that needs all of our help and participation in order for its success. The PTO is asked to make tiropites for the festival and we will be reaching out to our supportive parents to help us.More information will be given as soon as it’s available. If any parent would like to volunteer during the festival, please contact the Parish Council.
All PTO Executive Board positions will be open and elections will be held this coming May.We encourage parents to ask about the different positions on the board and to consider running for 2017-2018 year. It is a great opportunity to serve the Greek school and get to know other organizations that are in our church family. If any parents are interested in any of the executive board positions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the current board members.
As always we encourage our parents to participate and attend in our monthly meetings. It is a time to share ideas and voice opinions or concerns and get information of what is happening in our Greek school.
