What is HOPE/JOY?

The purpose of HOPE (Hellenic Orthodox Primary Education) and JOY (Junior Orthodox Youth) is to gather and create Orthodox Christian fellowship for children ages 4-7 (we accept children below the age of 4, but MUST be accompanied by parent) and 8-12 respectively. By making friendships early on, the children will want to come and participate later for GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) and have a greater participation in the Greek Orthodox Christian community as they grow and also make lifelong friendships.

Activities are held once a month on Fridays (usually following the conclusion of Greek Dance) and center on themes/holidays that take place in the month.Father begins the activity with a lesson for the children and prayer, followed by dinner and the activity.HOPE/JOY families must be current stewards with St. Athanasios for the 2018-2019 year & have completed registration (attached).

We hope to see you and your families in future activities!
